Kwon Sang Woo, Choi Ji Woo and Yoon Eun Hye in Temptation

Choi Ji Woo is set to join Kwan Sang Woo in his new drama Temptation which is set to follow Dr.Strange in July. This would be their second collaboration together since 2003’s mega super hallyu hit, Stairway to Heaven. Also said to be considering favourably the drama is Yoon Eun Hye, making this her first drama since last year’s disappointing mess that was Marry Him if You Dare. She would be playing the wife of Kwan Sang Woo, whose relationship with her husband is jeopardized when he receives money from a rich woman (Choi Ji Woo) to pay off his debt, in exchange for total submission. I admit to be intrigued, and I will most definitely check this out.

I am super excited at the thought of Choi Ji Woo and Kwan Sang Woo  together in a drama again. Stairway to Heaven was among my very first kdramas, and I admit to weeping like a baby at the end of it. I was young and innocent. It would be interesting to see how/if the dynamic between the two changed because it’s already been 11 years since the drama aired. Also, kdrama land has changed quite a bit since the melo days that were the early 2000s, so we’ll just have to watch and see if the two actors can once again pull and move people like they once did. I really hope the drama is something interesting and something we haven’t seen before, for their sake. Ok, probably mostly because of my sake.

I also hope the drama succeeds because Yoon Eun Hye really needs a project that brings back the glory she once had. I don’t think her bad luck had anything to do with her. Even in Missing You, she gave it her best and she was excellent in it, but there’s only so much she can do with the material she has to work with. Anyway, I really hope she accepts the drama, and I really hope that it will be a good one.

Also, check out a very young and fresh Park Shin Hye and Baek Sung Hyun playing the young version protagonists in Stairway to Heaven. Oh, the memories.
